Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Services Program

Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is the connection between the health and well-being of the body and mind. Includes everything from meeting our basic needs to the journey through various mental health challenges.

BHS supports our mission of assisting VOA participants to independence by partnering with the staff of various VOA programs to help participants adapt to housing and living independently, as well as to assist them in reaching goals and working through barriers.

BHS delivers holistic, individualized, and comprehensive behavioral health care to the participants referred to the program and fosters a positive team environment with all other VOA programs.

BHS ensures all aspects of Evidence Based Practices, including Harm Reduction, Person-centered care, Trauma-informed care, and Strengths Based Perspective, are followed.

BHS provide the following services for youth and adult participants:

  • Individual and Group Therapy
  • Comprehensive Community Support and Coordination of Care with other VOA Programs and Community Providers
  • Peer Counseling Services and Advocacy
  • Resource Help and Support
