The Volunteers of America Thrift Store offers affordable clothing, household items and other used goods to the public. Items sold are donated from Spokane-area households and proceeds benefit Volunteers of America programs throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

How to Donate Items
Donations can be made at the retail store or picked up at your location. To schedule a pick-up, please call 509.327.4112. You will need to bag or box your items and leave them outside by 8am on the day of your scheduled pickup. The Volunteers of America driver will leave a receipt when the items are picked up. Your donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

  • Bicycles (good condition); 

  • Blankets, sheets, pillows

  • CDs, records and tapes

  • Clean clothing and accessories (men, women, children)

  • Clocks

  • Coats and jackets

  • Craft supplies

  • Curtains or drapes

  • Dishes, pots and pans

  • Electric Heaters

  • Furniture (in good condition)

  • Holiday items

  • Home decorating items
  • Jewelry

  • Musical Instruments

  • Pictures and paintings

  • Shoes

  • Silverware and cooking utensils

  • Small appliances (working)

  • Sports Equipment

  • Stereos and TVs (no consoles)

  • Tools

  • Toys

Note: We DO NOT ACCEPT hazardous materials (household cleaning products, etc.), recall items (infant car seats, etc.), used remodeling and building products, large appliances or gas BBQs.
