Hope House exteriorOur specialty is helping those who need our help most — whatever the cause. That is why we quietly meet the needs of the Inland Northwest’s most vulnerable and underserved populations — those most at risk of becoming homeless — including persons who are chronic substance abusers, mentally ill, physically or mentally disabled, involved in prostitution, living with HIV/AIDS, or fleeing domestic abuse.

We provide the most basic needs — safe emergency shelter, nutritious food, hot showers, clean clothing and a warm bed. We also offer comprehensive case management that connects women and teens in crisis to substance-abuse and mental-health treatment, medical and dental assistance and domestic-violence advocacy. We also provide assistance in obtaining identification (i.e. birth certificates) and restorative justice (traffic fines, etc.). We even connect people to transportation and child care.

But we don’t stop there. We stand by people and offer them a continuum of services until they’re ready to stand on their own. Our programs include educational and employment-readiness training as well as life skills and parenting programs. When teens and women are ready, we provide transitional housing opportunities with supportive services to help them break the cycle of homelessness.

“Humans are not born to suffer the misery of hunger and poverty. They suffer now as they did in the past because we turn our heads away from this issue.”
