Sarah Howard has served as communications director since 2006 where she has a hand in almost everything that has words on it—from writing and designing our newsletters and brochures to creating ID badges and maintaining our website.
Sarah has more than 10 years’ experience in marketing and communications. Prior to joining Volunteers of America, she led the communications team at Gage Academy of Art in Seattle, participated in worldwide public relations efforts during the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and worked as an editorial and marketing assistant at the University of Utah Press. When she is not at work, Sarah works as a freelance editor specializing in art books and enjoys spending time with her darling husband, gorgeous son and two rambunctious dogs.
