Coeur d’Alene, Idaho—On Saturday, November 3, the Inland Empire Blues Society will host the eighth annual Coeur d’Alene Blues Festival. The evening will include live music from Jim Tilden, the self-described “foot stompin’ psychedelic jam oriented surf rock boogie solo western American songwriting bluesman” and Cool Stack Jack, nominated “Best New Blues Band” of 2005 by the Inland Empire Blues Society. Come prepared to hear the classics—from Ray Charles to Aretha Franklin—as well as new hits, and be ready to hit the dance floor. All proceeds benefit Kootenai County at-risk youth through Project Safe Place.
*Coeur d’Alene Casino is offering a discounted room rate of $45 (usually $84.95) for a limited number of rooms available up to two weeks before event. Call casino for reservations 800.523.2464 and mention the Blues Fest. For bus pick ups and schedules visit www.cdacasino.com.
