Spokane, Wash.—The 13th annual Hope House Celebrity Fashion Show raises funds that provide up to one-third of the shelter’s annual operating budget—literally providing hot showers, warm beds and a second chance for nearly 350 vulnerable Spokane women each year.

The event features an eclectic array of local celebrities—with local law enforcement as our star models in honor of the law enforcement officers who protected vulnerable women in Spokane during the late 90s, when serial murders of homeless women prompted the creation of Hope House (then the Downtown Women’s Shelter).

Models also include local media and business personalities who will wear new fall fashions from Chatter’s Salon, David’s Bridal, Finders Keepers, the GIFT SHOP @ Sacred Heart, Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, LoLo Boutique, The Makeup Studio, Mr. Tux and Tangerine Boutique.

The event also includes two diamond raffles with pieces from Jewelry Design Center and Pounder’s Jewelry valued at a combined total of nearly $3,000. Raffle tickets start at $3 each. The silent auction will include spa services, fine dining, gourmet chocolate and more.

For additional information, including a complete list of models and auction donors, visit www.voaspokane.org/FashionShow2011. This event is generously funded in part by American West Bank, Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories, and the Sisters of Providence.

About Hope House: Hope House served nearly 350 women last year, providing the basics—emergency shelter, hot showers, toiletries, clothing, and nutritious food—caring for, supporting and sheltering women most of society has forgotten. But we don’t stop there. In addition to 34 shelter beds, Hope House offers supports and services that rebuild lives—case management, referrals for medical and substance abuse treatment, even safe, affordable, on-site apartments where women can break the cycle of homelessness for good. After all, hope is what Hope House is all about.
