Linsey Strader, volunteer coordinator

Linsey Strader

Linsey Strader is an Americorp VISTA who is currently serving as our Volunteer Coordinator where she matches volunteers with the needs of our various programs. Her extensive personal experience as a volunteer at youth camps, with refugees, clothing banks, pregnant teens and more combined with her educational background in psychology makes her uniquely able to assess the needs of the programs and people we serve while making sure that every volunteer has a meaningful and fulfilling experience.

She draws inspiration from the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.—Every man,” he said “must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.”—and is honored that every day her position allows her to assist people in our community as they decide to walk away from selfishness by dedicating their time to others.

Linsey is a member of the Feed Spokane Coalition, Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA) and the Inland Northwest Service Learning Partnership (INSLP). When she is not working she enjoys singing at the top of her lungs, traveling to new places and sipping a good cup of coffee surrounded by family and friends. She can be reached at lstrader@voaspokane.org.
