10th Anniversary
Hope House Celebrity Fashion Show

Friday, October 31, 2008

In 1997 the serial murders of women on the streets of Spokane prompted the formation of Hope House (then the Downtown Women’s Shelter) to provide a place where any woman could escape the dangerous streets, regardless of her mental health status, chemically dependency or lifestyle. The Shelter served more than 360 women last year.

Every year for the last decade, we gather to raise funds for Hope House and honor local law enforcement for their role in keeping our women safe by holding a Celebrity Fashion Show.

Fashions provided by upscale local clothiers are modeled by representatives of the Serial Murder Task Force (the group that investigated the killings and stopped the perpetrator) as well as other representatives of local law enforcement, and other friends who have heroically served Hope House. Debra Wilde is our perennial, vivacious emcee.

The 2008 Celebrity Fashion Show and Luncheon benefiting the Hope House women’s shelter will be held on Friday, October 31. Wine tasting begins at 11:00 a.m. The luncheon follows at noon.
